Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • At the winery: A selection of the best parcels of old-vine carignan (40%), Syrah (30%), grenache (20%) and Mourvèdre (10%). There is aging in oak for the Syrah, not for the grenache. Unfiltered. For a Corbieres, this is an expensive bottle (30 euros), but it is worth the price -- structured and complex, with a dose of blackberry fruit, but no heaviness, and tannins that enhance rather intrude.
