  • The '67 Rinaldi Riserva Brunate was a treat to taste. The nose was nicely perfumed, with dark red to black, slightly dried/concentrated fruit, tobacco, leather, smoke, and balsamic. On the palate, it remains vibrant and fresh, with concentrated dark fruit, adding balsamic tones as it moves towards the long finish, which emphasized the balsamic, smoke, and leather characteristics of the wine in a very savory, muscular expression of Nebbiolo. The wine remains nicely concentrated and medium in body, with silky smooth tannins and high acidity. Especially coming from a vintage that from my understanding was very good but not epic, this bottle was outstanding.
