APPEARANCE: The liquid portion is hazel with a tinge of golden yellow in color and moderately opaque while the head is moderate creamy white foam comprised of very fine bubbles.
NOSE: Sour dough with plenty malt and new yeast, slight fruitiness in the order of underripe peaches and plums, with some impressions of slightly rancid apple cider and a touch of floral elements.
PALATE: Rich, medium to full-bodied, lithe, fresh and clean.
FLAVORS: Fresh dough with plenty of malt and yeast, mild fruit-inflection but still very primary along with certain nondescript characteristics that I associate with the youthfulness of Belgium Trappist brews.
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: A refreshing treat with lots of fresh yeasty malty characteristics but very young at the moment. Will have to revisit after 2-3 years or so, perhaps by then more complex characteristics will begin to emerge.

Rich, with some sweetness balanced by the hoppy bitterness. Malt, caramelised brown sugar, plum jam, slightly medicinal and with hints of liquorice. Full bodied. Lovely! 9% alcohol.

Full bodied, smooth, off-dry to sweetish, showing subtle malt, a bit of plummy jam, chocolate and a hint of mineral/licorice on the slightly hot finish. Excellent stuff!
