  • A young looking ruby red.
Lush ripe fruit in the red spectrum, crushed raspberries,
red cherries, fresh bay leaf with a slight herbal nuance.
Palate has full mellow red fruit with a certain sharpness, good acid.

  • Deep ruby. Medium plus nose - blueberry, blackberry, sour cherry, a hint of leather. Slightly funky - sour/barnyard- reminds me of a Beaujolais. Youthful. Dry, high acid, medium alcohol, medium minus tannins. Medium minus body. Short finish. Medium plus palate - lemons in the fridge too long, underripe blueberry, red cherry, dust covered strawberries. Very good. Drink now.

  • Day 1: Nose - fresh blueberries with varying degree of ripeness mixed together (ripe and sour), black plum, cherry, iron, violet, and a hint of red potato skin. Palate confirms nose - vivid acidity like sour plum, medium tannin like plum skin. Overall, a bit raw/harsh but balanced/refreshing medium body, with good complexity of floral/dusty dark fruit aroma. Good value for $14.

Day 2: dusty raspberry with some hint of red beans, combined with sandy tannin. Overall a bit reminiscent of montepluciano d’abruzzo (while day 1 was more like Portuguese Baga). In the meantime acidity is more prominent and piercing like concentrated lemon juice. Medium- finish. I can see this work nicely with cutlet/schnitzel/tonkatsu.
