100% Malbec from a 4,500' altitude vineyard in Gualtallary. Med+ ruby w/ a purple hue. Med+ intensity black fruit, blue fruit, violets, oregano, roasted coffee, dark chocolate from 13 mos aging in used French Oak barrels. Dry, w/ med+ acidity and tannins. High but unobtrusive alcohol (14.5%). Med+ to full-bodied, med+ to pronounced flavor intensity, w/ a really pleasing, lifted, juicy finish. Drinking really well, albeit youthful, it should continue to improve for several years thanks to its great structure.

Lots of animal notes and prominent oak for Malbec. A compelling wine but will hopefully be more in balance after some time in bottle
