This seemed more advanced than other '19 Sandlands Chenins that I've had in the last year or so. Not oxidized and still very drinkable, but it wasn't showing its best. Fortunately with most Sandlands wines, "wasn't showing its best", is still pretty good. I'm chalking it up to bottle variation, but it was a mild disappointment.

Honestly, these are my favorite Sandlands wine. Nice floral nose, Citrus, pear, very dry. Crisp and refreshing with just enough roundness to not make it cutting.

A fairly dry expression of Chenin Blanc with a strong acid profile. This featured notes of apple, pear, quince, with a bit of citrus zest and minerality. This has lots going on, but somehow felt a little muted compared to say a Vouvray sec. Still, a very solid effort.

PNP. Needed 30 min to get going. Nice aromatics. Apple, lime, minerals and a bit of wax. Tart finish. Lovely, fresh and only 12% ABV, this was perfect on a hot afternoon.

Pronounced notes of pear and citrus. A bit of minerality as well.
