  • Beautiful cabernet that I’ve enjoyed over three days. Each day it has improved. I like the herbaceous flavor combined with the fruit. Much more interesting than many of the fruit intense options you frequently find in this price range from Napa Valley. This wine makes me happy. Worth seeking out.

  • No notes taken but this was a very solid, well made, decently balanced Napa Cabernet for the price ($40). Quite some freshness and purity of fruit. Not something I’d seek out again but that has more to do with my personal taste than the wine’s quality.

  • Deep ruby. Aromas of plum, cherry and black pepper. Full bodied with acidity winning out over the ripe fruit. Strong tannins but not overpowering. Big flavors of black cherry, toasted fennel seed and crisp apple. Long finish.

  • Terrific again, much like the last vintage. Takes some swirling for the nose to really give. Ripe purple fruits pop out. Just ripe though. Hints of old wood and graphite. For a CA Cab this is light bodied. Cassis and cedar. A very nice soily note. Just a hint of forest green. Light on the tannin. Strong acidity. Such restraint yet still showing character. Many wines that show 'restraint' just pull back on everything, leaving wines that are uninteresting for the sake of a style. This is a very classic Cab. A very welcome wine. I think last year's showed more new wood. This might be a touch reserved still. Drank consistently over two nights. It could open a touch more with a couple more years. I wouldn't age this a long time but shorter term cellaring is warranted. Terrific in terms of value.
