Just re-read my tasting note on the first bottle - That was mean! I have to say I do not dislike this bottle as much. It does have a very attractive nose. Nice lemon cream thing happening when you first taste it but it quickly gets overwhelmed by the attacking acidity. I've had lots of acidic wines, I usually enjoy austere chardonnays, but the acidity in this one leaves an unpleasant sharp taste in your mouth.

Retail $25. Under DIAM5 stopper. 100% Chardonnay. Brilliant straw in the glass with a nutty creaminess that is a bit of a surprise coming from Chablis. There is also some lemon/lime rind, and a distinct mineral note as one would expect from the region. Rather austere on the palate, with subtle fruit but intense acidity. The nuttiness and wet rock aspects also come through, leading to an above-average finish. Very good.
Odd vegetal character on the nose turning to smoky minerals. The palate is more typical of Chablis with moderately high acid and Asian pear and star fruit as well as some nice minerality. Nice grip. 91

Clear and yellow with a greenish tinge to it. Aromas of steely grapefruit, oysters, green apples, and lemon zest. On the palate, it is bright and crisp. It zings thanks to its prominent acidity. The finish is saline and tart with medium length. This wine begs for fresh oysters and I’m looking forward to trying it again in 5-7 years with six of these on an early summer day.

Nice basic Chablis not the mineral depth I enjoy but and easy drinking white that can be a little overpowered by food.
