nose: rich and extracted nose of dark red cherries, black fruits, a good dose of american oak, vanilla and creamy tones. While it isn't overdone on the nose, the oak and vanilla tones are very strong though they do blow off a bit after some air
taste: full bodied with rich and big tones of dark red cherries, black currants, black fruits, and american oak. Medium acidity with sneaky tannins, there is good plushness to it
overall: this was a pop n pour. I had it with some cuban food as I wanted a big red and this did do the trick. Its not really the kind of style that I normally go for, but it does work for what its going after. The finish is a bit clipped and there is some depth lacking on both the nose and palate

Might be a little generous with a 90...solid wine but it was hot from the alcohol. That was the only element out of balance, but it stood out. Drank over three days and didn't evolve much. Best on day 1

PnVnD let breathe for about 1 hr. Crimson purple saturated with a red rim. Cassis plum and graphite aroma. Medium weight smooth with nice tannic grip at the end. Ripe plum cassis and black raspberry with herbal and cigar box notes touch of chocolate covered raspberry at the end. Medium finish. Classy - nicely ripe with good balance and finese. Like it a lot.

Very good wine but possibly past it's peak. Still some fruit left. Very pleasant to drink.

Similar to my bottle last year - for me, this is a solid qpr.
