93pts. Wine from 80+ year old vines on volcanic soil. Peppery, spicy nose with black cherry and cooked dark fruits. In the mouth, strawberry, raspberry, and a touch of cream dominate. Powdery and robust tannins and high acidity lead a long-lasting finish. Drink 2026-2033

Pronounced on the nose with blackcurrant, blackberry, licorice, black tea, cedar, cinnamon, vanilla, charred wood, meat and prune. Developing.
Pronounced and dry on the palate. Medium plus acidity, high tannins, full body, high alcohol, long finish.
Too young. The oak needs some time to integrate. Better after a decant but needs some bottle age. Has the intensity and structure to age, would love to try again in the future.

Not too fruity, good dryness. Pretty decent with a meal. Would try again

Color: Dark Garnet. Very opaque.
Nose: Plum skin, grilled meat, black cherry.
Palate: Blackberry preserve, white pepper, silky and herbacious.
Body: Big and bold with a silky roundness.
Finish: Medium plus tannins that linger without being invasive.
Beautiful big and smooth wine. Great for a steak or lamb dish. Great value.
