Wine Selectors 50 Best Tasting (Wharf 2 13 Hickson Road Millers Point): A little jammy fruit, chocolate, sweet spice, with time and agitation it also shows some blackcurrant cordial notes. Clumsily adjusted acidity lends sharpness and pushes a more red currant note that clashes with the jammy tones. Talc textured tannins. Meh

It’s a juicy number and drinks really well for such a young wine! Cherries, milk chocolate, dried herbs, orange zest, blackcurrant, a kiss of salinity and some sherbert notes too. Perfect acid on the finish.

Nice wine, just a bit disappointing, tannins that build over time. Nose is confectionery and raspberry.
