  • Can’t believe it’s 10 years since I last tried a Douglas, as I remember loving it. Lengthy spine of blackcurrant. Around that there’s cherry and berries, rhubarb, but mostly it’s a stalky, sappy, meaty, herbal, spicy, dusty, peculiar joy.

  • Cabernet, shiraz, merlot blend. Smells and tastes of Bannockburn terroir, more than it does Cabernet. Dusty red fruit. Rhubarb. Slight gaminess. Medium body. Oak very much in the background. So long as you like this profile, everything is in balance, flavours linger. (91 Very good wine)
