  This wine is an intense purple , with long and persistent legs in the glass. The nose first shows rich clouds of dark berries - blackberries, blueberries,black plums, and hints of sweet violets, but after aeration , you get spiciness, vanilla, and eucalyptus, still with a violet topnote. Rich and creamy on the palate, acidity and tannins are subtle and nicely integrated . The flavours are of chocolate covered plums, with hints of liquorice, and finishing with dry bitter chocolate and earthiness. A rich smooth and opulent crowd pleaser that skilfully avoids the trap of over -extracted jamminess. Argentinian Malbec is not really my scene, but is a well made recommendable wine.
