  • I will say that this wine was tasted at the same event as other red Burgundies that were either Premier Cru and/or from older or more heralded vintages, yet this village level Rouge was among the Wine of the Night finalists among me and my friends by the time all was said and done. Earth, cherry, barnyard funk *very* much on the good/pleasant side, minerals, flowers, impeccably aged and layered and beautiful. A wonderful value and discovery.
