  • Color: Pale pink/salmon. Medium (-) intensity on the nose. Notes of red fruit (strawberry, raspberry), slight citrus & floral note. (I did not get brioche) Small bubbles. Med + acidity, fairly long finish. 12% ABV

I am very confused by the winemakers notes on this one. This Brut Rose on the website says 100% Pinot Noir, yet the 2016 Tech Sheet info is listed below in which it says its 66.6% Pinot Noir, & 33.3% Chardonnay! ??

Winemakers Note: (180 Cases produced) MÉTHODE CHAMPENOISE TRADITION.
A blend of two-thirds Pinot Noir and one-third Chardonnay grapes.
Vinified in a mix of traditional French oak barrels and stainless steel barrels to develop depth and complexity of flavors while retaining an exacting freshness. A portion of the wine went through a partial malolactic fermentation to bring further complexity to the palate. Prior to blending, a small addition of still Pinot Noir was added to achieve the desired hue and bring a rich, depth of flavours to the base wine. The wine was bottled in the spring of 2017 and matured on its lees until disgorging, spring of 2020. A dosage of 2 g/L was added. The wine was aged on cork for an additional year after disgorgement before its release.

  • More peach in color than “pink”. Ripe berry/strawberry on the nose. Dry and bright acid. Apple/Strawberry/raspberry. There is no yeast qualities. Mousse is slight sharp and light effervescence.

  • Thanksgiving Weekend in Willamette; 11/25/2021-11/27/2021 (Willamette Valley OR): Tasted at open house. Strawberry and apple both shine, with 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir cepage. Very length, bright finish, maybe slightly tart at end, seeming more Ultra Brut.
