  • I have Respected the Storrs brand for a verities of consistent well made wine for 25 years. Their SCM and Christy vineyard bottling have made it into my cellar as a well made Chardonnay specialist at a fair price. In this 2020 bottling I don’t recognize any Chardonnay varietal elements. You can tell it was well vinefied for pick ripeness, barrel fermentation , sur lees aging, and Oak aging. As in Invasion of the body snatchers this wine became a Pod Wine and what came out doesn’t resemble any Chardonnay in my long repertoire. Solid one note Honey dew Melon nose and flavors… sometimes found in SB or Soave. A touch of oak and diaciatele from malo latic
But nothing enjoyable or resembling Chardonnay. Very disappointed and considerd calling the winery.
    Drinkable.
