Time in the bottle and this wine is transformed. The "leesy" flavours have been soaked up yet the texture, white nectarine and pear remain. Lovely wine and easy drinking. Would like to see a little more tension so a half bottle remains for a day 2 check in. Stay tuned.

CT rating 96….is this Montrachet? Pale straw in colour, Smokey flint, bound sulhpides and ham bones almost smother the beautiful nectarine and white peach that lurks beneath. The palate shows more of the same. I say this wine is overworked. I get it, and I like the style (eg Dogpoint/Coche/etc) but this is presently way out of balance. With time I expect it will come together but now the reductive, salty, creamy, lees character overwrites the fruit. At least it’s not overly oaked. Decant, it improved on day 2 but needs more 17.5.

Delicious. Crystal clear light yellow. Citrus, flint. Beautiful full long palate. Citrus, minerals, some creaminess, lovely structure. Can’t wait for the next sip. Yum!

Light green fruit. A quality Chardonnay with light melon and lemon flavours. Had with seafood pasta. Great wine recommended by Langtons.
