Pretty and elegant, but almost too elegant -- I found this a bit disappointing, lacking intensity and drive. Never really opened up over the course of 90 minutes.

a blend of Pinot noir and Chardonnay, primarily from Vertus. Spent 4+ years sur lies, disgorged Oct 2021 with 3-4 g/l dosage. Lovely strawberries and cream, orange citrus on the finish.

Champagne Bookclub (served blind)--Rob (Water Grill in Costa Mesa): No notes yet? Well, I can add a little something here, although take my note that follows with a grain of salt, as this was bottle eight of eight after a long meal. Served blind. Tangy, with citrus peel and some licorice. Served next to the 2014 Larmandier-Bernier Maturation, which was more peachy in color, this was Fourny a darker hue. Like with the Maturation, would have been cool to retaste this today but don't have the bottle leftovers.
