  • On a Singapore Airlines BC flight to New York. Bright medium yellow gold. Orchard fruit, peach, apple, ripe citrus, toasty oak, vanilla, and oak spice, with medium-level acidity and good length. The oak is prominent at first, but integrates as the wine breathes in the glass, to make room for light flinty minerality. Medium-bodied, with average concentration and complexity. Drinks well, and pairs well with food. Competently made. The flight attendant told me that this wine is popular, and I can see that this balanced, middle-of-the road Chardonnay is easy to like. That said, I do not see reason for seeking it out actively either.
