  The wine shows its age but still has some acidity that makes it nice. Good drink if you like old Rioja wines

  Breathtakingly juvenile in the first hour after opening. Then it decended very slowly towards clear indications of decay.
  Drink it quick after opening and you will get rewarded! Liked it

  Cereza-marronoso de capa media, con más estabilidad y concentración de color que la inmensa mayoría de Rioja de la misma añada. Borde anaranjado, amplio.
  
  Aromas de buena intensidad. Abundan las notas avainilladas y lácteas que nos hacen pensar en un cambio en el diseño de los vinos de la bodega. Un Rioja más moderno y con un claro parecido a los actuales. Aparecen notas de fruta muy madura, compota de naranja, marchitos y un fondo de flores secas y especias. Sin grandes alardes y sin acabar de arrancar del todo pero impecablemente bien elaborado.
  
  En boca es equilibrado, suave y completamente pulido, con una factura más clásica de lo esperado. El tiempo lo ha pulido y ha suavizado una ligera arista tánica que aún se percibe. Acaba de asomarse al del abismo, con una acidez más que suficiente y un fino nervio que lo mantiene con vida y nos permite beberlo pero ya claramente fatigado. Mejor no guardar durante más tiempo y disfrutarlo ahora. Esperábamos más...

  100% tempranillo - 12.5% vol.
  Inicialmente permanece entre 6 y 12 meses en depósitos de acero inoxidable con control de la temperatura. 48 meses de crianza en barricas nuevas de roble francés y americano de 225 litros. Entre 18 y 36 meses de guarda en botellero en los calados de la bodega antes de ser comercializado.

  Opened up nicely without decanting within about 15 minutes. Great food wine with luxurious tapas at Jose Andreas' Bazaar. Fell off a bit by the end of the meal.
