Really enjoyed this, and not so sure it’s as varietally nonobvious as most of the motes below suggest. It has the dark purple fruit of the Cabernet, the rich plums of the Merlot, and the (really delightful) pyrazines of the Cabernet. It starts a bit lean, reflecting the 13.3 ABV, but it broadens with two or three hours of air. I think this will mature into something really wonderful.

Lovely, medium bodied, and highish acid red, with understated charm, pure strawberry fruit, a twinge of bitter herbs, and a light rasp of tannin. I’d be hard pressed to call this as Bordeaux varietals blind - my thought is barbera or maybe Rosso do Montalcino. Could use a bit more amplitude in the midpalate, but finish is contemplative, one of quiet persistence. 89
Left in the fridge until Day 3, when a strong blackcurrant note emerges, with a sharp astringency detracting from the overall experience. Nice wine, if not fully realized. 87

A light-bodied blend of Cabernet and Merlot, but coming across more like a frisky Southern Rhone than a Bordeaux blend. A lovely, vibrant red, ready to drink now.

Clear garnet, pink watery rim, looks very young. Nose of fragrant red fruits and concord grapes, along with a hint of oaky vanilla. The wine smells young, and while I don't typically enjoy that vanilla smell, it works really nicely here. So soft but still lively on the palate. The structure is surprisingly gentle and easy going; medium body and acidity with smooth streamlined tannins. Fresh red raspberries and juicy red cherries, a touch of that vanilla and dill from high quality oak (not overpowering). No tertiaries at all.
Apparently, this is a 50:50 blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, but it does not drink like a typical New Wold Bordeaux blend at all. The profile is more high toned, restrained in extraction, lighter in body. I doesn't drink like a typical Old World Bordeaux blend either though; it is much more fruit forward and fresh than Bdx. It's New World in flavor profile, Old World in body, lovely all around.

Nice, but didn't get a good read on it. See previous TN.
