I bought a few bottles of this late release and now I finally found out how approach them. You have to give it a 1h decant. The wine is really closed upon opening, even a bit reductive. After 1h in the decanter it is however a splendid Champagne with yellow fruit, deeply pitched but also with bright Chardonnay notes. Very good.

Quite rich and tertiary. Nutty with some marmelade, savory, earthy, striking deep bass tones. Opened up substantially with time. I recommend a decant for this Champagne. The bubbles are very lively for the age. Good but not at the height of the Clos des Gloisses, the house's tete de Cuvee (92-93). On the next day the bottle showed better with more balance and complexity (93-94)
