Modernities ... All My Fault; 10/20/2023-10/22/2023 (Alicante - España): Aromas of old barrel, citrus and mineral scarcity despite its supposed aristocratic origin. Oily texture. Sharp alcohol rather than acidity. Clear imbalance. Served without appetizer unless you consider bread as an entree being this man an acclaimed restorer.

First Wednesday Wine Club (Francobollo, Haberfield): "Served blind. Waxy, citrus, chamomile, cereal, aa tiny flor note. Juicy, citrus, textured burr, very slight wood glue, tangy, quite nice. I knew this was mine."

Spanish fun day one (N&J's place, Canberra): From Coravin. Polished oak lends a little woody caramel, cream, toasted nuts, butter, saline with time and agitation a touch of lemon, barley, cereal. Fresh, fleshy, tangy, slight alcohol warmth, lemon, saline nuts; almonds; walnut; almond meal, waxy notes, a little apple and that polished oak note on the finish. Balanced. Crikey, A bit good.
