This wine was decanted and allowed to aerate for three hours prior to serially tasting over the ensuing two hours. Still deep-to-opaque ruby/red in color, it shows and explosive nose reminiscent of opening a box of chocolate-covered cherries, with superimposed aromas of anise and cigar box. Full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, medium silky tannins and well-integrated alcohol. The flavors are cherry and chocolate-dominated and the middle palate is solid. Long, smooth finish. This remains the best wine ever made by Diamond Terrace. Drink now-12/15.

We didn't think this wine worthy of some of the lofty grades given by others, but it was very good nevertheless. Lots of ripe, round dark fruit, tobacco, cassis and smoke flavors, medium bodied, nice structure and balance. Obviously new world style. Drinking now.

A BIT CLOSED ON OPENING THOUGH WITH NICE FRUIT, THIS WINE JUST KEPT GETTING BETTER. BLACK CHERRIES AND CURRENTS IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR, NICE COMPLEXITY AND A MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

This is a delicious cab. It has a great nose consisting of dark fruit, leather, some tobacco, and notes of mocha. You taste all of these complex flavors that are balanced with just enough acid, fine tannins and mineral notes to make this a really great California Cab.
