  • (WSET 4 tasting note)

    Appearance: clear, medium ruby
Nose: clean, medium intense, strawberry, ripe plumb, cherry, wetstone

Palate: Dry, medium+ acidity, medium, unripe tannins, medium body, medium intense, medium finish, medium alcohol.
    +coffee, toast, tomato leaf.

This is a good quality wine. Primary fruits and acidity are present, but the wine lacks balance and complexity to be of very good quality wine. There is an unripe tannic structure present that overwhelms.
Not suitable for bottle ageing; there is nog sufficient primary fruit to develop further.
