    Saturday, June 03, 2000 A wonderful chard without unnecessary oak. Good clear, golden-yellow color with a nose of pineapple and citrus which follows thru on the palate. Long elegant finish with plenty of punch. Enjoyed with grilled tuna in green bean, soy and wasabi sauce along with egg rolls. 6/3/00.
    Friday, September 22, 2000 Color of pale hay; if you have ever had to bail it, you know. An initial slight oxidized odor followed by smoke, oak and vanilla; later by honey. This wine had the initial taste of smoke and banana, but not a tropical taste. As it opened up a little it developed a roundness and flavors of lemon and vanilla with a finish of a pleasant herbiness of sage and thyme. It’s time to drink this wine as it will not last much longer. A fine wine but perhaps beyond its best point of development. With broiled salmon in herb butter and potatoes nana. 9/22/00
