Side by side with the Devil's Corner Chard of the same vintage, this was surprisingly the more understated one. Pale straw in color, it has subtle aromatics of struck match and iodine. It's fermented in 500L barrels, mostly used, with only 5-10% malo. I don't get any oak impact. Palate is again quiet, but very long. Citrus, peach and seashells...quite chablisien. I liked this better than the Tassie Chard; this does cost twice as much, although less than most Chablis.

I echo another recent taster......not worth its cost. I bought this one based on a WS 94 rating. The experience is nowhere near that rating. Other cellartracker.com tasters also rate it down at this level. Hence, i cannot blame a shipping problem. Well.......you cannot win them all. Wine is not a game of perfect.

Medium lemon colour. Medium (+) and developing nose with ripe yellow apples, peach, smoke, lemon, flint and charred wood. Medium (+) taste of yellow apples, peach, smoke, lemon, white peach and charred wood. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Yara Valley Chardonnay. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with fish or shellfish.

This bottle was a little better, but nowhere near the WS rating.
