Pale yellow gold with green tint. Citrus, pear, jasmine tea, almond, salinity and minerality. Fresh, elegant and well-balanced. Long finish. Wine still youthful and now felt a little rounder than last bottle almost a year ago.
Opened after a 2015 A. Jobard Meursault En la Barre that was so badly premoxed that you could have convinced me it was a madeira. My first of Seth's 2020's and this filled the Jobard spot really well. Lots of citrus/preserved citrus with some more orchard fruit notes coming though in the background with lifted, crushed rock minerality. A touch of nuttiness and fresh cream. This should really come together nicely in the next few years but drinking excellently right now with an hour decant. Was on the fence on buying 2020s but this showed no signs of any smoke influence.
Still young, needs another year or two. Was better on day 2. Restrained nose: white flowers, hint of mint and green papaya , light buttery oakiness. Expands in the mouth, with white pepper, ugli fruit, nectarine, and spiced apricot. Ample acidity keeps the oak in check. Very food friendly, particularly with fried chicken, lobster mac n cheese, or substituted for Muscadet in a beurre blanc. Medium weight, and a moderately long finish, showing hints of saline, sushi rice and white minerals. Not the superstar that XOmni is/will be, but intriguing enough.
First pour showed an odd, off taste but from a fresh glass this was much more attractive. I liked the precise acidity and fresh lemon gelee / green almond profile of this very much, and enjoyed the slightly mouthfilling texture. I did find it a bit lean today, as the intense acidity currently overwhelms the extract. Just youthful awkwardness though, and I look forward to drinking my other bottle after a few additional years' development. Leftovers held up very well over several days, eventually showing a strongly Chablis profile with some pleasing inner richness.

Bight citrus, minerality, butter salted roasted nuts, almond. Medium-high acidity and structure. Well balanced and long finish.
