Day 1 - a bit tart and tight. Raspberry, damp earth, cranberry - very red fruits. Corked it and came back to it 2 days later - much improved aroma and body/finish. A knock out really. This wine way over delivers for the price paid.

Very young, but already a lot of fun. Cherry red & lots of red fruit (raspberries, strawberries). Tasted at 15°C - perfect for a warm summer evening at this stage. Probably even better in 5+ years.

Actually 2020 Faively Gevrey vv 13%.
After an hour, it became more aromatic - some red fruit, a little raspberry, a little sweaty, earthy, fruit.

Deep red ruby color.
Intense sweet cherry and strawberries on the nose. Hints of smoke, earthy notes, sulphat.
Well balanced, intense flavors, long finish, quite complex with different flavours. M+ accidity, dry and medium bodied. Medium tannins.
Some leather on the palate, lots of vanilla mixed with ripe strawberries. Parfume, hints of violet.
A very nice complex wine, a little too bitter finish but will hopefully age well.

Wednesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Louis Jadot, Faiveley, and Bernard Moreau (Cote d'Or): Barrel tasting at the domaine from a single new oak barrel. Meaty black fruit with lots of density for its level, even ending with charming textures and good length. Good+ for its level.
