Schöne, frische und vielseitige Frucht (rot und schwarz), Vanille und Holzaromen aus dem Barrique noch nicht ganz eingebunden. --> könnte man noch ein Bisschen lagern

Per datasheet the 2020 vintage has 90% Tempranillo (Tinto del Pais) - 4% Albillo Real (Albillo) - 3% Garnacha - 3% Bobal
Deep red with purple tint, almost an unfiltered shine to it but almost no sediment in this bottle. Nose very much driven by red fruit, with some flowers, stone, pepper root, hints of vanilla and grassy forest/wood.
Initial sensation of tannins drying out the mouth, almost like inhaling dust. (Very strange after the preceding semi-sweet riesling.) Taste was also very fruit driven, think rich pinot reds. Actually got very little to nothing at all of the "Bordeaux" flavors (earth, leather/wood/liqorice) other reviewers have mentioned. Still it drank much better with food, in particular meat, than alone.
Bought per recommendation as other wines available from this popular winemaker need many years to shine. This one also way too young at this stage, left half a glass overnight and it was still sharply fresh. An ok next-level Ribera del Duero tinto, still unlikely to buy again as local price is quite high compared to what you get.
Score per current state, upside potentially in the low nineties?

Quite promising. A few friends had this blind, not easy to nail this as a Ribera del Duero. A lot of fruit and sweet notes on the nose, but this wine has a real backbone with a significant acidity and balanced tannins. This would go perfectly slightly chilled with your BBQs this summer, but could also be cellared for 10+ years. Good stuff and fun to try (glad I bought three bottles)!
