Classy cab. franc from Chinon. A mix of fresh cherry, blackberries, ripe forest fruits. Nice acidity, smooth tannins and the earthiness and savory feel that you often see in these Loire wines. Quite open right now, but can surely age.

Lovely wine; very much what I look for in Chinon with the green leafy and forestal notes front and center, and a palate that's full of bright dark berried fruit and more savoury tobacco and earthy elements that emerge on the back end. There's lively acidity and grainy tannin underneath, and the whole package is quite elegant and very easy to drink. Definitely need to get more.

Drank at Xmen blind zoom tasting. Funky nose, primarily of barnyard that took some time to blow off--many mentioned this. Sour cherry fruit, somewhat savory, noticeable notes of green pepper with high acidity and chalky tannins. Hints of leather, tar with some earthiness. Fairly obvious to some (me) that this was Cab Franc, tho some guessed Burg (which I've seen in other CT notes). Vibrant, fairly acidic, on the tannic side, an enjoyable, complex wine. Needs some time which will aid in its enjoyment IMO. I'd decant next time as well. I like this wine!

The cuvee that I have the least experience with... Elegant on day 1 on a pop and pour. Day 2, things start to recoil a bit. There is material here.

Needs a lot of time. A totally different wine on day 3 than day 1. Barnyard notes blow off and it becomes elegant and balanced.
