Wonderful mature white burgundy. A long time since I enjoyed a 2006 this good.
Pale yellow, intense nose of citrus, white berry, cream, pastry. Hint of oak on the palate. M possibly M+ acidity, alcohol above 13% but it does not feel that way. Long finish and probably drunk too cold. Opened up in decanter and further in the glass. Plenty of life left here.

First of three blind whites, but mine, so not blind for me. This is a BIG wine - rich on the nose and rich on the palate. It has all the hallmarks of Burgundy from a top site given the density. There's still some oak on the palate (though not so much the nose), but it has mostly integrated, which is generally what I find in Montille. There is a lack of acidity on the finish, which is very much the product of the vintage, and maybe a touch of bitterness as well, which distracts, but overall this is a great success for an 06. Honestly, Montille might make the producer that makes the best whites/reds in Burgundy, given how rare it is to find a producer who makes both well.

Fantastisk vin. Konsentrert frukt. Litt smør. Integrert høy syre. Rund og elegant. Veldig lang ettersmak.

The Judgement of Paris - reloaded: Great nose of flowers, white fruit, vanilla. Very good balance, lighter than the Marcassin right next to it.
