Xmas 2022; 12/20/2022-12/27/2022 (Matt and Marta’s): Pulled the cork and let sit for a couple of hours. The nose isn’t the most expressive and takes some coaxing, the palate however is great, it has a buttery side with a fair amount of powerful fruit and good acidity which coats the mouth well

Burgundy WIMPS 2022 (La Trompette, Chiswick): Some toasted brown breadcumbs with a buttery edge greets this wine which is rich and poised. Palate has the broadest feel to it of any of the whites. This really opens out and with time a little grapefruit juice freshness emerges with the subtlest touch of vanilla. After an hour in the glass there is a little rose water and some bruised taragon leaves. Lovely.

Elegant with a some richness. Pear, peach and toast. A whiff of smoke, cream and a delicate nuttiness.
Lovely palate intensity with great, fresh acidity. Very persistent finish with long lasted toasty pear.
Drinking very well now but no immediate rush.

REally good white burgundy. On opening a bit harsh and I thought might not do, but by dinner it was excellent
