Decanted 30 minutes before serving. Peach and ripe apple with some toasted baguette and pineapple. Ripe and very concentrated, this started out borderline overripe, but finished very elegantly two hours later. Consistent with previous bottles.

Burgundy Al has said it and I will repeat. THIS WINE NEEDS A GOOD DECANT. It will not show it potential otherwise. A good hour + I would recommend. After that - darker color than it drinks. Big, ripe, fleshy and round yet balanced, concentrated, nuanced and fun. Tons of flavors just coating the palate. This is a particular style and one I enjoy. Its not delicate but its balanced. Its not feminine but it has elegance. Loved it today with tuna poke and fish tacos.

Lucien Le Moine Dinner with Mounir Sauoma (Sepia): In a flight of 04/06/08. Full nose is very perfumed. Palate is in a great place -- round and lush apple fruit with good fresh acids. Sexy mouthfeel. I really enjoyed this and it seems to be in an ideal window. Best in 20 years, according to Mounir.

Perrieres Tasting (Chez Winefool): Intense potpourri spice aromas along with honeyed orchard fruit. Rich and unctuous but lower acidity and freshness.

Perrières Tasting: Mostly Meursault Whites, plus Méo-Camuzet Reds (The Winefool - Chicago IL): Previous bottles were fantastic, but tonight's was certainly getting tired, although showing good density and holding together. One taster suggested this might get better with more air, which is very common with Mounir's wines. Alas, that was not the case with this wine.
