  • Wine has improved, more mellow than in 2018 and has changed a lot in character from my last tasting. That last bottle was more dark fruit than red but now red is what I taste. Initial nose of red cherry and a hint of camphor, very interesting. Camphor dissipates quickly leaving only the red fruit aromas. On the palate the tannins are completely resolved and integrated. The red fruit of cherry and raspberry is dominant but the acidity and just enough oak beautifully balances the fruit and keeps it from being sappy. Love this wine. It is drinking well right now but still has a lot of life for at least another five years.

  • Drank this over a couple of days and enjoyed from start to finish. Starts with brooding dark fruit and dusty tannins but over about an hour the black fruit was joined by some tasty licorice notes and the tannins started to soften. Day two it was wonderfully paired with grilled lamb and mint jelly. Licorice was there with black fruit and a nice 10 seconds finish. Just lovely and already entering mature stage but should last at least another 5 years. This is another mid priced wine I bought for an anniversary and happy I have 5 more to enjoy.

  • Sencillamente espectacular.

  • Pop and pour, this tasted very young to me. It was also very thick, unctuous, slightly heavy. It made me think of Australian wines initially. It seems a bit brutish today, only time will tell if it will calm down.

  • Black at core; coconut and vanillin aromas dominate but are then accompanied in short order by tobacco, leather, and blackfruitedness; all on a tannic stretched out palate.
