Casual Friday night Wines session with Johnny & Gabriel (ES, Boon Keng): It has a youthful appearance, dark ruby core with crimson hue. The nose is very tight when pop and pour, subsequently it is decanted for 2 hours. Slowly open up to show fruits dominant nose, lots of berry fruits and cherry with just a touch of earth. It is a robust wines and I feel we tasted it at least 5-10 years earlier, plenty of black fruits and red fruits on palate. Nice finishing with rich fine and ripe tannins. It is a very good Burg but it is not showing at its full potential yet.
