  • Deep purple with some browning at the rim. This smells medicinal. Something reminding me of the pink water you swill with at the dentist. Spice and tar, together with wood and camphor. In the mouth the fruit is evident (plummy, prune, blackcurrant and weirdly some cranberry sharpness). It comes across as a well aged Musar. Warm, certainly, medicine chest and wardrobes; herby, metallic and sweetness from the black fruit. Tannins are fine but persistent, acidity in check. Did I say warm? But not spiritous. Feels quite thick in the mouth. This has depth, length and presence. I’m going to say that this is the perfect time to drink it. Any earlier and it would have me in a full Nelson, any later and the fruit will leave a dry, dusty corpse. Boom! Pleased with this.

  • Some sediment to the side of the bottle. Dark ruby color. Open bouquet with well integrated american oak and game blood with berry notes. Very fresh and ripe, yet is lean with good acidity and back bone minerality. Hair, hot, but did not take a way from the exceptional experience. Precise mature red fruit and cranberrry flavors.velvety tannins. Medium long length and extremely pleasant finish.

  • PnP through Nuance Wine Finer. Dark purple color. Dark cherry and cranberry on the nose, with some earth and tobacco. On the palate, dark cherries, a little tartness, spice, oak. Decent finish, good balance. 89+ points. Aloha!

  • Agree with the previous reviewer. Balanced but a bit one dimensional and boring.
