  • Medium lemon. Med(+) aromas of ripe lemon, lemon pith, pomelo, yellow apple, ripe pear, honeysuckle, bread, gun flint, matchstick, creme brûlée, a bit of hazelnut. Medium body, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, long finish. A lot of fruit intensity and a long lemony finish with a slight bitterness that reminds me of citrus pith on the palate. Quite a bit of new oak and lees contact characters but it is so well integrated with intense primary fruits. It has creamy texture making it rich but with its lively acidity and freshness, it doesn’t feel heavy or big. Very tasty now but would age gracefully in the next 10 years. 94/95+
