  Nose: deep scent, dark berries, blackcurrant, some sweetness, vanilla, hint of smoke and earth.
  Taste: soft onset, some fruit sweetness. Medium-bodied. Sudden increase in intensity midways, spicy and herbal acid towards finish, herbs, some cherry notes, dark sweet fruit. Some red fruit on higher temperature. Medium long finish and aftertaste, very earthy, some minerals, oak. Slight metallic notes in finish. Good balance, but not perfect. Not archetypical for Cali PN. Interesting and good value, though. 87p
