  A pretty ruby-violet color, about 70% saturated with a clear body and no sediment. Notes after only two hours of air and I can tell that really isn't enough for this to open up fully. Bouquet is very pretty, shy of medium intensity and features roses and light perfume. A definite rustic nature to the tannins along with acidity that is just as confident. Kills it with traditional pizza pie. I know it will probably be awesome tomorrow, but I doubt that I can protect it from consumption that long. I plan to hold my remaining two for a few more years before retrying.

  I found this easy to drink, and very good match for everything from pasta, to pizza, to light Indian appetizers. Its a very pretty wine, still rich with fruit, and acidity. For my palate, it didn't have any hard edges, or rusticity; but the wine did continue to evolve in the bottle over the next few days.

  Tasted over four days - and much better on the last day; this needs air. Has a great rustic feel, some dark tannin, smoke, tar even, a manly wine indeed, good acidity, but far from just an easy going pasta-wine - meat could get involved, certainly.
