  • We've had a few bottles of this vintage over the past year and all have been excellent. This bottle is a touch better than the last I remember, from September. More power and balance on this one.

Nose: rubber bands, big hit of apple juice, alluring citrus. Nicely aromatic, not limited, but not massively complex.
Palate: excellent acidity at the front and a big burst of sweetness (this isn't just off-dry, this is pretty sweet). A little hollow on the mid-palate but comes in at its strongest at the back around the back teeth and tongue, with excellent tart apple and lemon with a good lemon meringue finish.

A house favourite and a constantly good performer. Now at £6.99 (reduced from £8.99) as Tesco are selling their stock off, an excellent value.

  • Nice wine, faint notes of typical riesling, not earth shattering but a pleasant drink nevertheless. Will be trying other Grans Fassian wines.
