Palest straw with hints of green. Honeyed nose, touch of acacia blossom. On the palate, some minerality, but mostly massive sweetness barely held in check by the frame of acidity. Will it settle down? Not sure: the acidity is there, but the residual sugar is such that it veers towards cloying. Might be worth holding back half a case till 2010. Verdict: a little out of balance, but still makes for very agreeable drinking.

Lauber German wine tasting (tribeca grill): a bit heavy on sulphyr (just bottled) but the lushness and creamyness of fruit is excellent. this is at least an auslese as far as RS though so ... but a BUY

Fresh nose of honey and grape. Highly drinkable. No great complexity. Quite low acidity.

Pale, pleasantly fresh and fruity on both the nose and palate. No sign of fading.

A bit one-dimensional to warrant a higher mark, and the lack of acidity says this will not age too well. Nice enough in its simple way.
