  • Popped and poured. Aroma of pear and lichee. Rich, slightly sweet flavors of pear and stone fruit. Touch of kerosene in the full finish. Firm backbone, heavy mouth feel, full bodied for SB, some complexity. Tilts toward the New World, but recognizably Sauvignon Blanc. Excellent QPR.

  • Balanced, delicious. Stone fruit of some kind (peach? apricot?) with a hint of grapefruit. After warming has a slight sweetness (for sauvignon blanc) that is very enjoyable, and well balanced by acidity.

  • I took this to a dinner and the host said "I hate grapefruit in my Sauvignon Blanc". Okay then... Let's open this bottle and find out what's under the cork.

This is definitely not a New Zealand style. It reminds me more of a few high quality Napa SB I've tried over the years. Fruit is apple and pear with a significant spice layer, not Christmas spice, but clove and rosemary type herbs. Medium plus weight. Very nice.
