Opened as we finished the lackluster bottle of Goldrock and this was the better wine. The nose is floral with hints of apricot. The palate is apricot, melon, pear, white flowers and oak. The finish is moderate to long.

Medium lemon color. Pronounced aromas of lemon, apple, butterscotch and pastry. High acidity; medium alcohol. Medium body. Pronounced flavors of lemon, apple, butter (but not overpowering) and pastry. Long finish. While some may find PH chardonnays too buttery, I find them to be superbly balanced and delicious.

Found myself comparing this wine to two inexpensive, but wonderful Chardonnays…Jam Butter and Carmanent….and I have to give a slight nod to the Jam and Carmanent….and the pricing wasn’t factored in

Sweet nose of oak, vanilla, peach and pear. Tastes of pear, melon, peach cobbler and pineapple. Subtle minerality. Pretty oak. Med+ acidity. Creamy texture. Long finish. Delicious! (We preferred this to the 2020 Hobbs Ross Station tasted side-by-side.)
