Faint vanilla on the nose. On the palette, faintly buttery. It’s fine for something as inexpensive as it is. But it’s certainly a real question as to whether it’s worth it to double or triple your budget and get something better.
If you have any sensitivities - if wine sometimes gives you a headache or makes your sinuses get plugged up, then avoid this one, because it will trigger that.

Tasted blindfolded. Nose starts off with tropical fruits, lemon, and a bit of a grassy note. Thin bodied and very high acidity. Palate of lemons, cantaloupe, and a bit of spice. Quick tart lemon finish that fades into a crisp refreshing minerals and saline. A bit of stickiness on the lips after the finish fades. I am going to guess this is an inexpensive Sav Blanc, but the spice on the palate leads me to believe there might be a bit of Gewurtz in this.
Blindfold off. Light yellow in color. As it warms up a bit more – I get a bit of a plastic/petrol on the nose. Starting to think this might be a Riesling.
The reveal: 2021 Lindeman’s Bin 65 Bright Chardonnay. Looked up the LCBO specs and the RS is 9 g/l, but this wine has the acidity to carry it. I did not get the typical signals I expect form a Chard and I am not convinced that this is 100% chard. Regardless of that – this is a very refreshing wine. At $3.59 a bottle this was way better than I expect at this price point. Serve cool.

PnP. Grass, chardonnay fruit on the nose. Some bitter fruits on the palate and in the finish. Not bad - although not very good either - for under 6 bucks. ADDENDUM: One day shy of a month later (05/11/22), found this in the refrigerator. Served with chicken breasts and sprouts. Not bad at all - and worthy of repurchase at the price. Buy it, open it, and stick it in the refrigerator for a while!
