Interesting comments on this one from my fellow FullPullers. I'd say this is better than the several 84 ratings. Yes it needs a decant- like an hour. But much of the oak blows off - but you have to be looking for the dark fruit and herbs. Bit of graphite. Not the best Bergevin I've had, but I also wouldn't call it an oak bomb compared to many similarly priced wines.

It's ok. The oak is notable for it's tannins, not a vanilla bomb or anything. Still a bit tight, but with no notable flavor or interest. I let it open for a while and it did it no good. Last glass at least is going in the garbage it just isn't enjoyable
No notable flaws, but notably mediocre, do not buy again. At least i only have 1 bottle of this, which means I'm learning about the redacted game, first time I totally fell for it and got 6 bottles

Popped to use in a slow-cooker roast, and ended up drinking some that evening. Dominated by oak at this point, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Fruit is there too, just hiding behind the oak currently. Black cherry, vanilla, coffee and hints of earth. Likely too young right now, so give this another few years to integrate. Drink 2023 or 4 - 2032.

14.4% abv. Screw cap. I don't know - this was Ok, but primary and dominated by oak. There didn't seem to be much depth of fruit at all and it wasn't very compelling. This just tasted like inferior fruit dressed up in a lot of oak chips. Not a fan. Tasted over three days with consistent notes (screw capped overnight in wine fridge) - perhaps integrated a bit on the third evening which improved it a bit.
