  • Deep ruby color all the way to the rim. Very nice and classic PN nose dominated by ripe strawberries, raspberries, some cherry core bitterness, and a fine mineral tone (iron). Medium to full bodied attack. Caressing attack on the palate, smooth tannins, very fine acidity, fanning out to a raspberry/strawberry fruit on the mid palate. Some iron tones emerge on the finish, and the aftertaste is fresh and juicy, dominated by fresh raspberry and mineral tones. Very good length. Not the most elegant red Burgundy, but still one of the best buys you can make in an overheated Burgundy market. A bit too young, try in 2-3 years and drink for the next decade or so.

  • In a Burgundy-market that has gone of the hinges, it is nice to find a - not exactly cheap - affordable red of good quality. Dark ruby color, somewhat darker than what is expected from a Pinot Noir from a "lesser" appelation. Fine and sweet nose dominated by ripe strawberries and dark, sweet cherries, almost a bit "american" in style, but also with some fine earthy tones. Medium to full bodied attack, sweet fruit from the first attack on the palate, lots of dark, sweet cherry fruit combined with almost overripe strawberries. The aftertaste is still fresh and the sweet fruit is finely balanced by sweet tannins. A taint of alcohol in the finish, but that is almost not detectable. Long, sweet finish. A very good wine, but not exactly elegant. Will probably be better in 2-3 years but drinks wonderfully now.
