Needs a decant at this point--only shows dark fruit and an acid finish until, with enough air, it opens to reveal a suave, black cherry fruit. The toast on the oak adds a dessert-like sweet dimension that seems to lead neatly into creamy fruit desserts (we had, in essence, a cream-filled churro, and it felt like a neat transition). Bet it will be great in a year or two.
