13 months since my last bottle. Wine had matured a little. Similar tasting notes as last bottle, except now with a little of honey and sherry on the palate.

Picked up during our visit to Veuve Cliquot. Haven’t seen this cuvée in the states before.
4th edition with vintages 1996, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
If tasted blind, I think I would have called this 2006 or 2007 champagne. It has a warm and generous profile showing only a hint of age. Golden in the glass. Quite yeasty and toasted pastry driven up front alongside lemon cream and hazelnuts. Towards the end, a bit of grilled lemon and tangerine showed. While not overly complex or layered, this is an easy and enjoyable champagne with a tasty profile that doesn’t require any aging.

Yellow and bruised apples but with a lovely core of fresh acidity. Creamy and quite balanced with a medium body while maintaining a solid grip. Lovely!

Freshness on the nose, with lemon and slight peach. Green apple and citrus on the palate. High acidity. Fine bubbles. Medium body, not very complex. Medium minus finish with brioche notes.
Clear Veuve Cliquot style. Slightly more interesting than the yellow label, but nothing special here.

Citrus, orange peel, baguette and white flowers. Tiny but lively bubbles. Creamy texture, well-balanced and just perfect among of dosage (sugar) in the wine. Very nice.
