The wine is clear, with pale lemon-green color, and thick legs.
On the nose the wine is clean, with medium primary aroma intensity of ripe white fruits, melon, hints of tropical fruits, ripe citrus fruits, lemon, lemon tart, herbaceous, hints of earthiness, mushrooms, animal sweat.
On the palate the wine is dry, with medium plus acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus primary flavor intensity of ripe white fruits, melon, ripe citrus fruits, lemon, orange zest, white grapefruit. Finish is long.
The wine is of a good quality overall, as it is showing good balance between fruit concentration and acidity, along with earthiness notes integrated with the fruit driven style.
The wine was expressive enough at time of tasting, with multiple layers of aromas and flavors, however not very complex, mostly fruit driven, but winemaking is very good here.

Generally love Gerard's Sancerres, including this entry level bottling, but this one feels a bit ponderous and lacks some typicity, to the point that I'm not sure I would pick this blind as a Sancerre or even Sauvignon Blanc. Very rounded nose and palate, with more tropical and melon notes than I would usually expect. It's not flabby, but it was better at cooler temps than as it warmed. Perhaps a function of the vintage, but not a great effort.

Good acidity and fruit with herbal notes. It is crisp and well rounded. A well made entry level SB, but not outstanding.

Pretty good. More rounded and richer than I expected. Still, there is plenty of acid and some minerality.
